Flex resistance and release values are important key words when choosing springs. You can tune the spring tension adjusting the scale (1-5).
We deliver blue (medium) and green (soft) springs to both Freedom and Freeride.
Blue is perceived as more aggressive and with more "kick".
Green is not so aggressive, gives a bit smoother skiing, and "flows" easier in powder.
Weight and length of the ski and the skier is important factors when choosing springs.
A simple rule of thumb is:
Large boots, heavy skiers and long skis = blue springs.
Small boots, light skiers and short skis = green springs.
That said, different skiers have different style and different likings.
If you are in doubt, we recommend to start with green springs.
We have heard that some think you are a better skier if yo use harder springs. In our mind, green or blue springs have nothing to do with skier skills
